Cordero Della Zoina "Mot"
Colour and Bouquet: ruby red colour with garnet hues, the nose expresses intense aromas, with notes of roses, violets, red fruits, vanilla and tobacco on the palate is fruity, decided, with soft tannins, the finish is long and persistent dominated by cherry and a note of licorice.
Vine: Nebbiolo Spanna 100%.
Vineyard: 9.000 sqm. planted part in 2001 with a density of 5.000 plants/hectare. Exposure South, altitude 300 metres above sea level. Sandy melted ground .
Pruning: Guyot with a load of 25.000 gems/ha
Yield: for the 2006 harvest the yield per hectare has been of 6 tons and the yield grape-wine of 64%.
Wine-making: fermentation in steel tanks at constant temperature of 23°, with a maceration of eight days and malolactic fermentation part in steel and part in oak.
Aging: twenty-four months in oak barrels part new and part of second passage, six months in steel and at least twelve months in bottle.
Date of bottling: 12th june 2009.
