GIGIONE - Rubicone Sangiovese IGT (Red Wine)
Flagship wine of Romagna, Sangiovese is declined in various ways, but Case Marcosanti wanted to join as possible to the tradition in order to transfer in this wine the best expression of the territory in which the grapes are grown.
Grapes: Sangiovese 100%
Production technique: fermentation with selected yeasts in wooden vats and aged in barrels (8-12 hl).
Sensory features: intense ruby red color; at smell hints of violet and cherry, combined with a pleasant drinkability.
Alcohol: 12 - 13 %vol.
Combinations: tagliatelle with meat ragout, grilled or roasted meat and ‘piadina’, sliced meats, cold cuts and cheeses. It also lends itself to some fish dishes, like fish soup.
Serve at 18°-20°
