This wonderful estate lies on Punta Tresino, Santa Maria di Castellabate, some 50 km south of Salerno, close to the magnificent Paestum Greek temples. Punta Tresino is a breathtaking cape facing northwest towards Costiera Amalfitana; in a bright day you can clearly see Amalfi, Positano and Capri. The climate is typical mediterranean, with hot summer and mild winters, but the Cilento mountains create very fresh night winds which give ample temperature excursions in the ripening season, allowing the distinctive bouquet of Mario’s and Ida's wines
The old house and the cellar has been restored respecting the traditional building system; electrical power is generated by a big photovoltaic system, and the vineyards are cultivated without using synthetized chemical compounds. Mario Corrado is an architect with a great passion for fine wines and country life. With his wife Ida – a lawyer - he decided to move from Salerno with their sons to come to live in this angle of paradise. They owns about 6 hectares of vineyards facing the sea at 60 and 150 meters above sea level, planted with Fiano, Aglianico, Piedirosso and small percentages of Greco and Trebbiano. Their wines are distinctive, seductive, unique. The Fiano Tresinus is almost salty, while the red blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso boasts with a thrilling black pepper note.
