The Azienda Agricola "Ballardini Riccardo" is one of the small estates which nowadays enrich the outline of wine production in Romagna. Its vineyards cover about 30 hectares on the gifted slopes of Bertinoro, Brisighella and around Faenza -all well renowned for vine growing- and have been producing wine since 1980.
Since then we have crafted a tradition of quality that continues today, focusing on native varieties: the ALBANA (first Italian white wine to get the D.O.C.G. seal), the SANGIOVESE, the TREBBIANO, the CAGNINA, beside the I.G.T. Forlì and I.G.T. Rubicone.
We pay the greatest attention to our vineyard managed with the integrated pest control: quality and healthiness are the two main features ruling our passion for wine, and we are sure Customers will appreciate them.
General Manager is Mr. Giorgio Ossani, who also takes care of sales; thanks to his commitment to a tradition of excellence the Az. Agr. Ballardini has achieved very good quality standards setting up a modern winery with stainless steel tanks for the electronic control of the fermentation temperatures (which means winemaking by plot and by variety) and all the modern equipment for ageing, storage, bottling.
Carbonic maceration, controlled temperature fermentation, soft pressing enable our winery to present various types of wines, both still and sparkling, which can match any requirements by private consumers as well as by restaurants.
