ORIGIN
This variety is the vine used in over 50% of Piedmont’s vineyards. Yet despite this great popularity,
nothing is known of its history prior to the end of the 18th century. It was mentioned for the first
times in 1799 as one of the ‘’best-quality black grapes’’

WINE –MAKING
All the grapes are picked by hand.
Crushing of the grapes, destemming. Fermentation with its skins at controlled temperature.
Aging 6 months in steel
Tasting note:
colour: ruby red with pale purple reflections
bouquet: fragrant and vinous, delicate ethereal when aged
taste: fresh and elegant in the mouth. Fruity and pleasant aftertaste
Serve with: Ideal with dishes based on meat or cheese, it is perfect as every day drinking.
Serving temperature: 18 – 20°
