Sangiovese Vigna Le Case
Grapes come from vineyards located on the first slopes of Brisighella, with mainly clayey soil, at about 150 m. above sea level, facing south-west.
Great care and careful selection (always complying with the natural productive balance) are our main features in vines growing: we get grapes of very high quality which are naturally picked by hand towards the end of September.
Vinification is simple: it takes place in steel wine-makers of limited capacity which allow us to manage fermentation at its best and to get the best quality results from grapes.
The wine rests till next spring in concrete tanks, where it is extremely well isolated from external events.
Bottling takes place in the mid-spring that follows the harvest, and the wine is available since May, though our Sangiovese will be at its best towards the end of summer, when bottle refining gives the wine the right organoleptic balance.
The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "Vigna le Case" is a high quality wine with deep ruby red colour; the olfactory sensation is particularly pleasant and winning, as only the best sangioveses are, with flowery scents and red fruit sensations, fragrant persistent and elegant. The gustative perception is pleasantly balanced with smooth tannins which give a full, harmonious and persistent sensation.
Serve at 18° C in large wine glasses; due to its balance and elegance it matches many dishes, above all the ones belonging to our traditional gastronomy such as tagliatelle with bolognaise sauce, grilled red meat, salami and mature cheese.
